iTrip FM transmitter for iPhone

Griffin Technology has introduced the iTrip FM transmitter for the iPhone and iPod touch. The FM transmitter, which works with the company’s iTrip Controller app, is designed with a backlight LCD display and is capable of showing both track and artist information on RDS-compatible radios. In addition, the device comes with SmartScan technology for automatic detection of optimum frequencies and also allows users to manually adjust the controls.

Other features enable users to choose between either a stereo or mono transmission to help ensure the best signal strength as well as provide up to three different presets that can be programmed.

All changes made using the iTrip Controller app will also automatically be made on transmitter, as long as it’s hooked up. The transmitter comes complete with a Micro-USB port for charging an iPhone or iPod while it’s playing, as well as track controls for changing songs on the iPod.

The iTrip FM transmitter is available from supporting retailers or the company’s website, and is priced at $50.
