Garage Band brings new lessons from John Legend, Rush

updated 07:55 pm EDT, Tue September 22, 2009

Users can learn "Tom Sawyer," "Ordinary People"

Apple has added several new instructional lessons to its Garage Band software for musicians. Users now have access to several titles from the Canadian rock band Rush, including the 1981 hits "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight" from the group's Moving Pictures album. Both artist lessons are provided by guitarist Alex Lifeson.

Musicians can also learn to play "Ordinary People" from John Legend's debut album, Get Lifted. Legend guides the viewer through the entire song played on a piano.

All three of the new lessons are available from GarageBand 09's Lesson Store for $5 each.
