Apple drops prices on refurbished iPods

updated 04:15 pm EDT, Mon September 21, 2009

Cuts affect all models

Slightly less than two weeks after introducing new models, Apple has announced a series of price cuts to its older, refurbished iPods. An 8GB Touch is now $149, for instance, a drop of $40. A 16GB Touch is now $50 less at $199, and a 32GB model has been slashed in cost by $30, reaching $249.

8 and 16GB Nanos have been cut by $30 and $20 to sit at $99 and $129. The 120GB Classic is $50 less at $199, and both the 1 and 2GB Shuffles are now $10 cheaper at $39 and $59. All of the above prices apply only to iPods ordered from Apple's online store.

    LATE!

Er....this news is really old. I thought it was something special and so I immediately logged on to Apple Store to check out the refub iPod section. Nope, the iPod touch 8GB is the SAME price as it was over a week ago. Yup, it was $149 OVER a week ago and still is.

    Old news *sigh*
