iStockphoto adds legal coverage for users
On Wednesday, iStockphoto announced a new “legal guarantee” for all the files in its collection. iStockphoto is a member-generated image and design website that provides people with royalty-free photographs, video footage, audio tracks or Flash files for a low price. With the added guarantee, people who have purchased and correctly used any files from the company are said to receive free legal protection against any copyright, trademark or property dispute up-to $10,000.
The company is also offering a more extensive legal coverage plan for 100 iStock credits, which increases the amount of money users will be covered for in regards to legal fees or direct damages by up-to $250,000.
