Prizmo 1.1 update adds OCR technology
Creaceed has introduced the latest version of its Mac scanning software for users with digital cameras, Prizmo 1.1. The update features the integration of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, developed by ExperExchange Inc. The added OCR technology supports up to 10 different languages including English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Swedish. In order to use the new function simply select part of a photograph, choose the text language, then just set the binarization level and decide on which file type for saving the OCR results.
Additional features of the new OCR integration include an adjustable grid for selecting which text to recognize, a results preview, and several different file types to choose from when saving such as PDF or RTF.
Prizmo 1.1 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and is a free update to all currently registered users. It can be purchased new in English, French or German for $40, and has a 50% off educational discount available for teachers or students.
