Apple sets Augusta store opening for September 19th

updated 11:40 am EDT, Wed September 16, 2009

Confirms earlier reports

Validating earlier observations, Apple has announced that the Augusta, Georgia Apple Store will open on September 19th, at 10AM. The outlet is based in the Augusta Mall Promenade, found at 3450 Wrightsboro Road. Store hours run from 10AM to 9PM between Monday and Saturday, and 12PM to 6PM on Sunday.

Apple has yet to schedule any workshops at the store for the following week. The Augusta opening is itself a rare event though, as Apple has said it will only open 25 stores in total during 2009. Some other outlets launched this year include one in Canada's capital, and another near the Italian metropolis of Milan.
