New Kodak webcam series includes HD quality camera

Sakar International has launched a new line of Kodak webcams, which includes a driver-free webcam, the S100; an auto focus webcam, the T130; and a webcam with a three megapixel sensor that produces HD quality video, the P310HD. The series also features the W100, an entry level model, and a two megapixel auto focus webcam called the L200. The new Kodak line of video cameras can automatically connect to IM and VoiP services including AOL, MSN Instant Messenger and SKYPE -- which automatically launches the designated application without the user having to navigate their computer to open the program.

Each webcam in the series can temporarily store media on the devices built-in video and image manager, allowing users to upload the media directly from the device to websites such as Kodak Gallery, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, YouTube and PhotoBucket. Users can additionally drag & drop images from one service to another.

Sakar has also announced the Kodak Smile G150, a digital photo keychain that can store and display more than 100 images. The device utilizes a 1.5 inch LCD screen and a USB connection to upload a users photographs. The device features a photo editing program when it is plugged in and can display images either individually or in a slideshow.

The Kodak Smile G150 will be available for $30 in late September. The device will be produced in black, gray, red, blue and silver and will include a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that has an average life of about two hours when fully charged. The new line of Kodak webcams consisting of the S100, T130, P310HD, W100, and L200 will be available for between $30 and $100 depending on the model.
