MBS REALbasic plug-ins hit 9.6

updated 11:30 am EDT, Tue September 15, 2009

Gain Snow Leopard classes, Cocoa code

Monkeybread has released v9.6 of its REALbasic plug-ins, which expand the development platform. New in the update are special Snow Leopard classes, such as ones for OpenCL, Core Location and spellchecking. Also present are a variety of new classes and methods for Cocoa, and a variety of Core Image filters, such as CISpotColor and CIBumpDistortionLinear.

The company has also gone back and revised a number of outdated examples, which have now been verified for REALbasic 2009. The MacScripting plug-in has been removed, and as a set the plug-ins no longer manage memory pools due to conflicts created with REALbasic. Some plug-ins now require Mac OS X 10.4; others may still support v10.3.9. The collection costs $275 as a whole, or $28 per component when split up.
