Handles script development process
Adobe has released the first public preview of Story, a forthcoming script development tool. The app lets users craft a script for video production, with components for creating projects, character profiles and fashion synopses. Material can be written on- or offline, and brainstormed and edited collaboratively; different people can be assigned permissions for reading, reviewing and/or modifying content.
As users work they can add links as reference points, and automatically generate metadata for use in material such as shot lists and shooting script. The latter feature is dependent on future integration with Creative Suite Production Premium. In the meantime, users can export to formats including PDF, XML, Word, CSV or Movie Magic. Supported import formats include Word and Final Draft.
The public preview is currently free through Adobe Labs.

pretty vacant
If it's anything like Soundbooth it'll be good-looking, complex with seemingly a lot of features, but not do anything actually useful. There are already several script programs that are almost as entrenched as Word in that field. Why try to develop another one?
