FIN foot/handle arrives for unibody MacBooks, MacBook Pros

Unibody FIN foot/handle combo launches

Fins-Up has launched the FIN for aluminum-unibody MacBooks and MacBook Pros. The FIN is a powder-coated aluminum foot that doubles as a handle when transporting or loading/unloading the notebook. The accessory offers a single-piece design that attaches via screws in existing holes on the bottom of the MacBook -- it uses no glue or tape, avoiding damage to the finish while enabling easy removal.

The FIN lifts the notebook to an ergonomic angle for typing, while leaving open space for improved airflow and heat dissipation. The aluminum curves slightly away from the rear of the notebook, creating an easily gripped handle when going mobile.

The FIN is available to fit 13-, 15- and 17-inch unibody MacBooks and MacBook Pros, with each version priced at $40. Older versions of the FIN are available for the non-Unibody MacBooks, plastic MacBooks and PowerBook G4 models.
