equinux's TV on iPhone system sees updates
equinux'sLive TV on the iPhone offering, via The Tube Mac software and iPhone app Live TV, has been updated.
equinux has updated its Live TV on the iPhone for users, which is delivered via The Tube Mac software and iPhone app Live TV. The software combination allows users to watch TV channels on their iPhone over WiFi signals. The system begins with an equinux TubeStick hybrid TV tuner. The Tube software tunes channels and prepares the signals for the Live TV app, which seeks out The Tube feeds and displays them on an iPhone.
The Tube version 2.9.4 adds remaining show time display and viewer ratings, While Live TV 1.1 adds display of the currently running The Tube channel in the channel listings, and shows the new viewer ratings displays. It can also sort TV channels by viewer rating. The TV channel list has been improved and rebuffering issues have been fixed.
Live TV is $4 on the iTunes App Store, while The Tube software for Mac is $50 and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. The other necessary component, the TubeStick hybrid TV tuner is $130 and available at the Apple Online Store -- it includes The Tube software.
