V-MODA metal headset works with iPods, smartphones
V-MODA on Wednesday announced it has started shipping its Faze metal headset, made to work with Apple's iPhone and iPod, as well as other smartphones including BlackBerries, the Palm Pre and other MP3 players or devices with a 3.5mm audio jack. The in-line microphone has a call and music control button that can answer and end incoming calls, as well as pause and play music, in addition to fast forwarding it.
A 2.5mm adapter is included, for use with some phones that still use the semi-proprietary format. Made of aluminum alloy and sporting a Kevlar-reinforced cable, the Faze ships with three pairs of differently sized silicone fittings in both black and clear.
The Faze headset can now be purchased for $50 and at retail is only sold through Best Buy.

When my replacement pair of V-Moda headphones also broke, I didn't bother to try to send them in for a replacement. I'll go with someone with better build quality next time.
