Yojimbo 2.0 update ships
Bare Bones has released Yojimbo 2.0, adding a Tag Explorer feature while improving image import and the Quick Input panel. The software organizes content such as text, bookmarks, images and serial numbers, ordering the material through tagging and labeling. Search features exploit Apple's Spotlight engine.
The new Tag Explorer displays an array of tags used for a group or subset, as a means of browsing by subject or idea. Filtering lets users restrict subject matter, while deactivating tags in a string can expand scope.
A New Image command creates a fresh image in the app, instead of pulling from external sources. Elements can be dragged or pasted in before finalizing. The Quick Input panel sports a new inspector view for setting additional metadata, and can now judge an appropriate URL name for raw links in the Clipboard.
Also present are various fixes and smaller revisions. Yojimbo 2.0 supports Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later, including Snow Leopard. It costs $40 in a single-user license and $70 in a five-person family pack.
