  • KavaMovies 1.4 ($35) is a movie database application that allows users to organize the movies they have seen, the ones they want to see and those that are a part of their collection. The application also connects to the internet to obtain extra information about each movie such as actors, directors, genres and more. The latest update adds a new favorites browser and has been optimized to run under Snow Leopards 64-bit architecture. The move to 64-bit should also result in improved interface performance and database access speeds. [Download - 4.6MB]

  • BetterZip 1.8.2 ($20) lets users quickly inspect archives without first extracting their contents. Users can add or extract files via drag-and-drop, delete files from archives, rename files, and create new folders inside the archive. Version 1.8 uses pbzip2 for BZip2 compression as this version can utilize multiple CPU cores which should result in faster compression. Additionally, a header encryption option has been added for 7-zip and rare formats. The update also fixes several bugs such as one that prevent Tar archives from being opened in Snow Leopard.   • eBaytoiCal 4.4 (free) is an AppleScript that reads through an opened eBay auction page an adds the date an auction ends to iCal. The script can also set a reminder at a user definable time before the end of the auction. The event in iCal is named after the product being sold an a URL to the auction page is included with the event. The eBay Partner Network has been updated in this release which should result in more reliable linking. [Download - 0.1MB]

  • SignalScope 2.1.5 ($99) is a 2-channel real-time audio signal analyzer, built for Mac OS X. SignalScope 2.1 is said to include a more intuitive input channel selection, preserving settings for unaffected channels when the selection changes. New to this release is Snow Leopard support and the ability to calibrate input channels independently. Some oscilloscope triggering issues have also been fixed along with other small bugs and cosmetic issues. [Download - 4.5MB]

  • R10Cipher 3.1 ($30) is a tool for encrypting and decrypting files using up to 384 bit Blowfish encryption. Files to be encrypted can be dragged and dropped to the main windows and support for batch encryption is included. Decryption can be performed by double clicking in a file which will result in the software recreating the file with its original filename. Version 3.1 has added the option to automatically generate shared secrets. [Download - 9.4MB]
