Cinema 4D 11.5 update
Maxon has launched Cinema 4D 11.5, giving the software full Snow Leopard support and a new rendering engine. The suite handles 3D modeling, painting, animation and rendering. Also new is an upgraded motion graphics module, MoGraph 2, with new physics, spline and explosion components.
An improved Picture Viewer in v11.5 includes render histories, image filtering, post-filter effects and better layer management. A new RAM player provides mid-render playback with sound, and the software should now feature improved integration with After Effects, Motion and Autodesk FBX 2010.
Cinema 4D costs $1,000, and requires Mac OS X 10.4 and 1GB of RAM. Also available is the new $1,500 Broadcast Edition, which bundles together collections of premade objects and scenes. These include may include preset animations, sound effects and camera and lighting setups.
