SuperDuper v2.6 ships
Shirt Pocket has released SuperDuper 2.6, an update of its Mac OS X system recovery software. The primary changes in version 2.6 is Snow Leopard compatibility; however, it also offers "Backup on connect," which enables a user to automatically configure the software to backup to a drive any time it is connected.
SuperDuper 2.6 lists over 100 small improvements, focusing on performance improvements and additional AppleScript capabilities and support for the Sparse Bundle image type. Some other features added in v2.6 include a new "On Completion" command and a "Eject after Copy" command. The software now prebinds Leopard and Snow Leopard backups after copy to improve clone bootability. There is also improved RAID volume support in v2.6.
SuperDuper 2.6 works with Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It costs $28 and is now available for download.

I can verify that the upgrade is free for registered users. I just upgraded, ran the Smart backup and was able to boot off the backup drive without any issues.
Great program to have around in addition to Time Machine / Time Capsule.
(Note: I'm still running Leopard)

Amen 'macvette', using SD in addition to TM/TC is also my strategy. SuperDuper is one of the best apps for the Mac and I wouldn't own one without it.

SuperDuper is a true gem, and I, too, would not even consider owning my Macs without it!
