Review: Aurora photo tool

Light Crafts' recent release of Aurora aims to provide users with very basic photo editing, and easy-to-use controls. The latest version includes web-sharing options, which can sync a person's work with websites such as Flickr, Picasa and Facebook, managing the photos from within the application. Some editing functions include Crispness, Color Strength, Crop and Straighten, Red Eye reduction, Retouch and Color Warmth. The software also features online backup, and a Punch tool used to bring higher contrast to mid-tones without altering shadows.

One of MacNN's reviewers has taken a look at the software, and uncovered that the application is limited by its odd interface. The program additionally lacks in help references for users unfamiliar with photo editing techniques. It is described as relatively inexpensive however, and still simple to use with important tools.
