Mimo 720S touchscreen

Mimo Monitors on Monday introduced the 720-S, a 7-inch portable touchscreen display geared for netbook users. The monitor provides 800x480 resolution, 350 cd/m brightness and a contrast ratio of 400:1, while utilizing resistive touchscreen technology. The device is powered and connected via a single USB cable, enabling use as a secondary screen for presenting applications, formatting palettes, instant messengers or other interfaces.

The monitor pivots 90 degrees and allows a wide range of angle adjustments. The integrated stand also serves as a protective cover, bringing the closed thickness down to one inch. Supported operating systems include Windows XP and Vista, along with Mac OS X with a supplemental third-party driver.

The 720-S is now available directly from the company for $230.
