FMTouch iPhone app wins award, offered at discount

updated 11:20 pm EDT, Sun August 23, 2009

FMTouch discounted 60%

FMWebschool's FMTouch software for the iPhone has won a FileMaker Excellence Award from a pool of over 1200 members. The app will be offered at a 60 percent discount to celebrate the win. FMTouch allows users to load FileMaker databases onto an iPhone or iPod touch. Guides for style, scripting and calculations can be used to create new databases. The resulting database is then iPhone-ready and stored directly on the device, providing full access even without an Internet connection.

FMTouch provides a number of basic FileMaker functions such as scriptable buttons, calculations and value lists, among others. The app also provides unique features include signature capture, voice recording and instant PDF generation. For sensitive data, databases can be secured using 128-bit encryption.

For a limited time, the app price has been reduced from $70 to $30. It requires FileMaker Pro 8 or higher and currently does not support Bento.
