OmniOutliner 3.9 revises auto-save, adds DOCX export

updated 04:20 pm EDT, Fri August 21, 2009

OmniOutliner 3.9 ships

The Omni Group has released OmniOutliner 3.9, updating its notetaking and outlining program with an overhauled auto-save system and a new duplicate row function. Also new is pasting into OmniGraphSketcher, a software update mechanism, and support for exporting to Microsoft's DOCX format. Beyond this are maintenance fixes.

The auto-save system is based on Apple's, and allows files to be accessed after a crash by using a "revert to saved" command. OmniOutliner requires Mac OS X 10.4.8, and costs $40 in a standard version or $70 in a Professional edition. The latter adds features like folded editing, named styles and clipping services.
