In brief: ThinkFree has released as new Mac application to help users sync their documents with an online storage account. The software is offered for free and allows users to upload files smaller than 10MB to a 1GB storage space. Izatt has announced a special 50% discount on its iPhone application, MileBug, that will run until August 26th. The promotion celebrates the application's one-year birthday on the App Store. Meanwhile, No Starch Press has released a new version of My New Mac with updated information regarding Snow Leopard.

ThinkFree has announced the release of its document synchronization tool, ThinkFree Power Tool. The software allows users to synchronize their documents with a ThinkFree Online account. Users can make changes to a document while offline, as the software automatically uploads the content when an Internet connection becomes available. Individual uploads are provided free of charge for files up to 10MB in size, while the cap is extended to 100MB for paid subscribers. Paying customers also receive support for additional file formats and an extra gigabyte of online storage space.

Until August 26th, Izatt will be offering a 50 percent discount on its iPhone application, MileBug, to celebrate the app's one-year birthday on the App Store. MileBug is a tool for people who drive their own vehicles for business, charity, medical or other reasons. The app provides tools to track distances traveled for reimbursement and/or tax deduction. The developers have also mentioned that an upcoming update includes the ability to track expenses such as parking and tolls.

No Starch Press has released a book designed to help new Mac users become familiar with the operating system. My New Mac, Snow Leopard Edition is a project-based book that guides readers through different tasks such as organizing music within iTunes, tracking birthdays with iCal, and more. My New Mac features 52 total project tutorials, all of which cover different topics and are designed to help readers familiarize themselves with a Mac. The 512 page book builds upon the original edition by adding specific instructions for new features of Mac OS X 10.6. The book is available to order directly from the publisher for $30.
