Early Snow Leopard release
Amid rumors that Apple is preparing to release the Snow Leopard update ahead of schedule, Amazon has changed the ship date of Wiley Publishing's Mac OS X Snow Leopard Bible to August 31st, according to Macworld.co.uk. Apple has not adjusted its initial expectation of a September launch window, however.
The Snow Leapord Bible's author Mark Hattersley suggests Amazon and Wiley are aiming to launch the OS and book on the same day. "Just how much Amazon knows about the actual launch date is debatable though. All the signs are increasingly pointing to a release within the next two to three weeks," he says.
The change to August 31st would place the book release on a Monday, while OS X updates have typically fallen on Fridays. The new date could still represent an approximation, as the U.K. edition remains slated for the original September 11th release date.

geesh...
What is the point of posting incessant rumor after rumor after rumor?
First it was nearing completion. Then it was GM. Then that report was thought to be incorrect. Now it might be correct.
So, what we know is that Snow Leopard may or may not have been finalized, it may or may not ship 'early', or it may ship in early September, or perhaps wait a couple of weeks after the chatter of the grand product announcement after labor day and push it out later in September.
At least we're pretty positive (based on inside sources who are usually correct on these things) that there is a product called Snow Leopard. And Apple is planning on delivering it.
