Years, 3D Good vs Evil

  • TouchPad ($4) enables users to remotely control their Mac though an iPhone or iPod touch using Wi-Fi. The software makes it possible for the mobile device to function as either a keyboard or mouse, and supports both vertical and horizontal scrolling. It also supports one, two, or three-finger gestures, and allows users to modify the keys for customized configuration.

  • Years ($2) is a digital year calendar that provides quick navigation through days, months or years. Users can simply click on a month to enlarge it, then choose a date within the month and add visual colored-scribbles to help mark the important event. The software also comes with an entertaining feature that displays the pages being flipped as the user moves between each year.

  • DVD Bit Budget Assistant ($2) is a DVD bit budgeting utility that offers “what if” scenarios for learning and figuring out how much data can be put on a video DVD, along with the various bitrates that can be encoded using programs such as Apple’s Compressor. The app includes tools for working with five standard DVD capacities and program durations of up to 10 hours. Aa Vid-O-Meter displays immediate feedback, including the average bitrate for that specific video.

  • Silent Swords is a stealth action game for the iPhone and iPod touch that is currently awaiting approval for the App Store. Players take control of a ninja who is trying to escape a top-secret military base where he has been held hostage. Using a variety of weapons, including shruikens for long distance enemies or gesture-driven sword attacks for up close, players must sneak and kill their way to freedom. Oniric Games is also offering a chance for players to create and submit their own Silent Swords level, which could be added to the game in a later update.

  • 3D Good vs Evil ($2) is a new take on the old chess-style games, with the addition of 3D action sequences and dungeon battles. When players attempt to overcome an enemy’s soldier, both pieces are taken to a virtual dungeon where the players battle it out and the winner gets the square. Players can level up their characters to better handle all three of the game's difficulty settings. Players can choose from one of 16 different characters, with support for either one or two players on a single device.
