updated 09:05 pm EDT, Wed August 12, 2009

ShrinkRay Final Cut effect

CrumplePop has released its newest video effect for Final Cut Pro, ShrinkRay. The effect uses titling and shifting techniques to alter the focal area in a video to make large scenes look very small. Users can reposition, expand, or contract the videos focal area to gain the desired effect. The plug-in also lets users control the amount of focus surrounding the focal point.

The effect supports 32 different video codecs, resolutions and frame-rates including HDV, DV, PAL, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 720i, 24fps, 30fps and 50fps. The utility is compatible with Final Cut Pro 6 and Final Cut Pro 7. ShrinkRay can be downloaded from the CrumplePop online store for $75.
