iTunes 9 could center on the addition of Blu-ray movie playback, according to a rumor floated on Saturday. A veteran source for BGR says that the Apple jukebox software, which currently can't play any videos on disc, will gain support for the HD movie format. It would also reportedly gain some level of interaction with Facebook, Twitter and potentially the Internet radio service Last.fm. It would also supposedly be possible to reorganize iPhone apps.
James Associates has launched a new version of its GPS syncing and viewing software for the Mac, MacGPS Pro 8.4. The application is designed to interface between GPS receivers and the Mac, providing users with a real-time on-screen display of their current location and speed, and transferring information such as routes, waypoints and track-logs. In the latest update support has been added for the Garmin Oregon GPS receivers, along with U.S. Forest Service 24K Topo Maps.
Sennheiser Communications has released the PC 300 G4ME headset, a new portable earphone created for all types of media purposes on either a laptop or PC, including online gaming or chatting with friends. The headset features a light-weight in-ear design made to reduce noise, and comes complete with an integrated microphone and in-line volume control. It’s made from the same capsules as the company’s CX 300-II ear-canal phones and provides three differently sized silicone ear-sleeves to help ensure comfort.
iPhone CAZE has released two new lines of iPhone cases, Silver Tone and Slim Fit. The cases are used to protect an iPhone from regular wear-and-tear that the device may encounter. Similar to the Mirror Go line of cases, Silver Tone cases wraps around a users iPhone in a plastic enclosure and includes a Mirror Screen protector. It differs from its sister line with various patterned backings in green, orange and clear colors.
