ProTouch keyboard guards

iSkin has launched new ProTouch keyboard protectors for the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The skins come in three different forms: the Classic, FX and Vibes. Each is made of silicone and designed to prevent dust, food, liquids and hairs from affecting a keyboard, along with general wear. They can also be used to diminish typing noise, and make cleaning easier through handwashing.

The Classic protector is meant to be low-profile, using a translucent design to blend in with a Mac’s keyboard. The FX is tinted red, black or purple, but allows LED backlight show through, with an extra blue glow supplied by glow-in-the-dark pigment. The Vibes skins offer four dual-tone color combos to choose from, with enlarged fonts and printed shortcut characters.

The protectors are made to fit on MacBooks released near the end of 2008 or later, along with Apple’s aluminum wired/wireless keyboard or aluminum wired keyboard with numeric keypad. Prices are $25 for a Classic, $30 for an FX and $35 for the Vibes.
