HTC Touch Diamond2 for AT&T now at FCC

HTC Warhawk at FCC

The HTC Touch Diamond 2 handset, flying under the Warhawk codename, is nearing its release at wireless provider AT&T as evidenced by a document from the FCC. While the handset is not mentioned by name, the FCC document shows a handset with 850 and 1,900MHz 3G network compatibility. AT&T's one-way Video Share calling is expected to be offered on the handset.

Otherwise, the Diamond 2 has a larger 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a higher 480x800 resolution. In addition, there is a touch strip under the display to make centering on images and websites easier. There is also a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus. MicroSDHC cards now handle the majority of the storage space of the device, while battery life was improved by 50 percent.

The handset is most likely to be released by AT&T sometime in September, as AT&T was aiming for an end of August approval. [via Engadget]
