Nimuzz update, Mac support
Nimbuzz has launched an update to its instant messaging and dialing app for the iPhone, as well as a new Mac version. With Nimbuzz 1.3 users receive photo, music and video sharing features, a re-designed buddy list layout, and push notification that provides alerts for incoming calls and chats. Also included in the new version is a location-sharing function, which displays whereabouts on a map.
The added media-sharing support stores a user’s photos, videos or music online, in order to save phone memory and increase access options. The new buddy list now displays avatars for contacts, along with presence information such as what community a contact belongs to and current online status.
The Mac version of the software supports platforms such as AIM, Facebook, Google Talk, MSN and Yahoo. It also enables VoIP calling, specifically within MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk and Nimbuzz itself. Nimbuzz is a free title and can be downloaded either from the website for desktop users, or from the App Store for iPhone and iPod users.
