PasswordVault 7.0 ships
Lava Software has relased a v7.0 upgrade for PasswordVault, its automated, 896-bit-encrypted password organizer. The update allows for importing bookmarks from browsers, syncing them, and managing them across two sublevels of categories. Drag-and-drop support has been added for both bookmarks and text clippings. Version 7.0 is further optimized with a better interface, and faster start-up, loading and import times. Passwords can now also be generated via the Add Service dialog.
The Professional edition of v7.0 adds a secure password auto-distribution system for groups, scheduled auto-export to shared drives, and auto-import from network drives or URLs. It also adds multi-user password sync across networks, and multi-user online password sync accounts.
PasswordVault works with Mac OS X 10.1 or later. The standard edition is $20; Professional is a minimum $60 for a five-pack, which can be scaled up in tiers to an unlimited site license costing $900.
