Barcode Producer 5.5 ships
Apparent has released v5.5 of its flagship application, Barcode Producer, and a plug-in for the title, DataBar. The main program is used to generate a variety of barcode types, while the plug-in adds seven formats, including Omnidirectional, Truncated, Stacked, Limited and Expanded. Producer 5.5 adds trim marks in exported barcodes, plus support for grayscale exports of vector EPS files.
The update also utilizes an ISBN Check Digital Calculator and an updated Symbology Guide to provide expanded barcode descriptions and better recommendations. Barcode Producer requires Mac OS X 10.4, and can be purchased from the Apparent online store for $200. Bundled with the plug-in, it costs $300.
