AKVIS Enhancer 10
AKVIS has launched version 10 of Enhancer, one of its image improvement tools. The application consists of several different modes which are used to help alter and improve the visible detail in a picture. The new update provides an additional Smart Correction mode, which brings the apps current number of usable modes up-to 4. With the Smart Correction mode users are able to correct and improve the tone of images in either the entire photo, a specific area.
The improved image tone is made possible by correcting the brightness of points in both the light and dark areas of a photo. On top of the new mode the program also provides tools for enhancing color transition, improving blurred images, and expanding the dynamic range of an image.
Users can also choose from a plug-in version which offers the same features provided in the stand-alone version, with the exception to the HDR mode which enables altering the dynamic range of the image. The plug-in comes with support for Photoshop batch processing in order to make the same changes to multiple images, along with support for other applications, such as Photoshop Elements, Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo, and Photo-Paint.
AKVIS Enhancer 10 requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher, and is available as an upgrade for current users priced at $30. The AKVIS Enhancer Plug-in is priced separately at $70, with a new version of the Stand-alone app with HDRI support costing $80.
