MathMagic 6.4 patch

InfoLogic has posted v6.4 of MathMagic, its equation editor. The app is divided into two main editions: Personal, which exports generalized output, and Pro, which includes plug-ins for either InDesign or QuarkXPress. The plug-ins are said to improve the quality of output, and speed up the insertion of equations into publishing documents.

A central change in v6.4 is the inclusion of new OpenType fonts, covering Greek symbols, general math symbols and body text; all fonts are now installed and activated automatically. LaTeX and MathML support has been bolstered, and macros have been tweaked to offer user-defined save paths and filenames. MathMagic requires Mac OS X 10.4, and InDesign 2.0 or QuarkXPress 6 or better in the case of the Pro software.
