PED3-Bike mount ships

Thought Out has introduced a bicycle and motorcycle mount for the iPhone and iPod touch, the PED3-Bike. The mount can adjust 360 degrees depending on the required orientation, while the base attachment is constructed of steel. The PED3-Bike utilizes a secure grip that attaches to 1-inch and 25mm diameter handle bars. Three holder versions of the device are available: bare iPhone, bare iPod touch and the FORM. The latter version works with devices wearing any case or skin.

The bare iPhone and bare iPod touch models integrate an ordinary device holster. The PED3-Bike is available from the Thought Out online store, with prices ranging from $32 to $36 depending on the model. The RED3-Bike mount is available by itself for $23, as an accessory for customers that already own any of the PED3 or NAJA series of holders.

    umm, no

Boy that looks like a scary thing to have held in by friction. 40mph down a hill, a small bump, and .

    No kidding!

There's no friggin' WAY I'm going to mount my iPod touch to my bike and ride around. All it takes is one idiot... driver, skater, r***** jogger (the WORST!) or oblivious ped to ruin my day AND my gear!

Somebody make an app that interfaces with a REAL bike computer! Like a CatEye wireless or the equivalent.

    Not!

I don't think Jonathan Ive was involved in this design.

    Mount only

They sell the mounting clamp alone: PED3-Bike-M Mount. It looks perfect for mounting a small tripod head, like the Gitzo G0077.

I jerry-rigged something like it, but this looks like it could work pretty well.
