FontGenius 1.0 ships

FontGear has introduced the first version of FontGenius, a Mac-based graphics utility. The software scans supplied images for text, and attempts to identify fonts as accurately as possible. Lists of candidate fonts are presented, matched to installed fonts as well as those kept in a local database.

If needed, the program can also go online to find, buy and download chosen selections. FontGenius requires Mac OS X 10.3, and is compatible with both Intel and PowerPC Macs. A single-user license is $40, while a site license is $150; a free demo is available to try in advance.
