revMedia 4.0 alpha test

RunRev has released an alpha test version of revMedia 4.0. The application is used to develop web applications in an English-like programming language called revTalk, and includes an integrated development environment. The latest version can deploy to all major browsers. revMedia 4.0 supports various media formats, vector graphics, drop shadows, and a customizable interface.

The revTalk programming language utilizes "chunk expressions," which aim to simplify text and crunch data processing. revMedia 4.0 is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, and is available from the RunRev website. The alpha test version of the program is free, and the full version will remain free when it is released.

    Amazing offer on great...

a great product!I've been using the Enterprise version of Revolution for almost a decade now, including writing two interactive medical casebooks with it. Revolution itself is quite amazing in the ease of use it affords amateur programmers like me to create complex software and simulations. Being able to use version 4 to convert said software to web use (in less than 5 minutes in my case) is nothing short of miraculous. Literally, all I had to do was load my existing Rev app into version 4 and click deploy for Web. :::poof:::: I had a flawless web application that anyone can use. Fantastic!!Add to that the fact that the Media version--think of it as Revolution Lite--of Revolution (RevMedia) is now available for free and you've got an unbeatable combination. If you have any interest in creating your own software for deployment on the web, here's a great chance to try a superb alternative to Flash, etc. AND at no cost. What more could you ask for?(NO, I do NOT work for RunRev, but I definitely am a fan of their development tools!)

    Wow, Just Wow

Ok this is what I've been waiting for... a plugin comparable to Flash that's easy to learn and best of all, FREE! And the revlets not only work on Mac, Windows, and Linux, but you can AUTHOR on Linux and Mac and Windows, too! Just amazing.
