Speck ships upgraded cases
Speck has launched updated versions of its See Thru and See Thru Satin cases for MacBooks and MacBook Pros, including 13- and 15-inch sizes. The cases accommodate design changes in the new Pros, while retaining compatibility with the previous generation of unibody notebooks. Case construction involves two translucent hard shells, which snap into place to protect a computer from bumps and scratches.
The Satin cases incorporate a soft-touch outer shell, making MacBooks easier to hold onto while still permitting slide. The hard shells offer access to all buttons and ports, as well as the battery check button, meaning that a case can be left on at all times.
The basic See Thru cases are available in clear, aqua, green, orange, pink and purple, while Satin options include red, black, pink, purple and yellow; all models are $50 each. Other See Thru cases exist for the remaining Apple notebooks, including the 17-inch Pro and the MacBook Air.
