Recorder 10 adds phone call recording for iPhone

Recorder 10 update

Retronyms has launched an update to its recording app for the iPhone and iPod touch, Recorder 10. The program allows users to record everything from memos, to discussions and interviews, and can be used as both a voice and sound recorder. The update adds the ability to record phone calls made through the iPhone, or through the iPod touch second-generation with an external microphone. Everything recorded with the app can also be synced or e-mailed to other users.

In order to achieve this feature the application is now required to work through an external service that's connected to a telephone network when making a call. This limits the phone call recording capabilities to outgoing calls only that start and finish within the US, and will require a per-minute charge.

Recorder is available for purchase directly from the App Store and priced at $1.

    So, useless!

Ability to record the phone conversation.. if you have internet access!?! The is as close to useless as it gets, if you ask me. Ohh, and a US Only feature.. sucks!

It can record phone calls made from an iPod touch? That's a pretty neat trick!
