Bizarre Apple lawsuit

A bizarre lawsuit filed by Gregory McKenna in a U.S. District Court in Missouri accuses Apple, the St. Louis Police Department, the FBI, and an auto mechanic, of conspiring to stalk, extort and torture the plaintiff. McKenna, representing himself, explains the conspiracy and Italian Mafia connections throughout a 124-page document.

After purchasing an iPod shuffle on eBay, McKenna claims he quickly discovered that the device was manufactured "with an illegal receiver as the Mafia proceeded to transmit extortion threats and audible harassment to it." The plaintiff became even more convinced of Apple's involvement after allegedly purchasing a new iPod mini that was also bugged and would state "I'm about to kill him" in sync with a song.

McKenna's conflicts with the Mafia allegedly began when he worked at a New York modeling agency that withheld his paychecks and demanded sexual favors from him. After quitting that job, the plaintiff claims to have entered a St. Louis nightclub where he was told "We're going to kill you if you don't model for us in New York."

The plaintiff accuses the St. Louis police of neglect for not protecting him against a person that came to his house to threaten him. The filing explains that a stalker repeatedly left his home each time the police came, just to return when they left. The police department and FBI apparently began to ignore his claims, leaving the alleged perpetrator to "stalk, threaten, and kidnap plaintiff."

Along with the iPods, McKenna claims to have discovered listening devices in his 1998 Audi A4, at home, on a college campus, the Ritz-Carlton, Banana Republic, and no less than six different Catholic churches. "Well if you have bugs you should call an exterminator, not the Police," an officer reportedly told him, before recommending examination by a doctor.

The plaintiff also repeatedly heard the word "herpes" while listening to the song "Still Tippin" by Mike Jones. McKenna claims this was yet another attempt by the Mafia to "humiliate, degrade, and cause emotional distress." The additional content was only heard when listening from his cars, an iBook G4, PowerBook G4, iPods and other music players. Every iPod later purchased, including a Nano and Touch, were also claimed to have been bugged "prior to sale at the Apple Store as associates allegedly conspired with the Italian Mafia to sell it to Plaintiff."

McKenna is seeking a trial by jury, although the defendants and District Court still have an opportunity to reject the case. The paranoid filing adds a unique element to the wide range of ongoing litigation involving Apple. The company is listed as a defendant in a number of class action and intellectual property lawsuits, while continuing as a plaintiff in a case against the Mac-clone maker Psystar. I've known...

people who have this problem and they feel they are being totally serious and that no one believes them, etc. They stack one outrageous claim on another (the giveaway).

It's really a shame... and no, they won't seek help. Might make a good movie however.

Maybe there are some psychiatrists out there who know more about this. This makes Mel Gibson's "Conspiracy Theory" look like a joke.

Obama Birth Certificate

I'm still surprised he (Obama) hasn't released the docs. I mean if you have nothing to hide, why not show it. It's a simple document, easy to produce and would immediately dismiss any doubts. But if you have something to hide, you would stonewall. For the OBC (Obama Birth Certificate) you have to wonder why he doesn't provide the document they are looking for.

He provided it, and the State of Hawaii verified it, but conspiracy theorists will be conspiracy theorists.

Obviously John McCain and the GOP are in on the conspiracy, otherwise they would have challenged Obama's ability to serve as president if elected.

Likewise, the Supreme Court is in on the conspiracy too, since they twice refused to hear 'birther' cases.

It's just one, big, vast conspiracy. Just like the one which brought down the WTC on 9/11 and required the complicity of literally hundreds or even thousands of conspirators, not one of which to this day has spilled the beans.

Please read this:

and then please cease and desist from making such an utter fool of yourself in the future by repeating this 'Obama birth certificate' nonsense.

Unless, of course, you enjoy sounding like an idiot and a nutjob.

(Hey, did you hear NASA "lost" the original Apollo 11 moonwalk footage? Proof that the moon landing was a hoax!)

is obviously suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, it's a classic example. It's sad, and I hope that the judge tells him he needs to seek treatment before he throws the case out.

Also, please shut up about politics, guys.

My Birth Certificate (a copy) has vastly more information than Obama's and I was born much later. It cost me $25 to get (to get a passport) and was very simple.

You would think that a millionaire like Mr. Obama could afford $25 to get the real copy to shut everyone up.

See here for why you may want a short version:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/IsacertificateoflivebirththesameasabirthcertificateinFloridaAfriendmaybeadopted

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthcertificate

And from our US Government:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first
830.html

" certified birth certificate has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar’s signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office, which must be within 1 year of your birth. Please note, some short (abstract) versions of birth certificates may not be acceptable for passport purposes."

So his Certification of live birth may not be enough to get him a Passport, but is enough to get him to be President?

Again, why wouldn't he just pay the $$ for the long form to shut everyone up?

What this means, MORON, is that there are two versions of a birth certificate. The official one - the one you use for obtaining a passport - is the 'long' version. It is a full legal-sized sheet of paper. It contains ALL of the information related to one's birth.

The 'short' version is an abbreviated version, about a half-page in height. It contains the essential data - name, parents, weight, location and date of birth. It is used because it is easier to retrieve and transmit than the long version.

When I obtained dual nationality, I was required to obtain the long version with 'apostille' - basically a notarized statement by the Secretary of State of the state in which I was born - testifying to its accuracy.

The data contained in this long form was identical to that in the short form which I had already had in my records.

There is nothing inherently inaccurate about a 'short' form as compared to a 'long' form of a birth certificate. The long form is more complete, but both are essentially accurate as far as establishing the basic facts of a birth.

For an IT guy, you sure are a nitwit.
