IDG Indie Dev. Pavilion
IDG World Expo has announced the Independent Developer Pavilion, a new floor area dedicated exclusively to independent Mac software developers. Available for Macworld 2010, the area is intended to attract attention from media, shoppers, industry and potential investors. When taking part in the Pavilion, developers are asked simply to bring a notebook and their product, as IDG will provide the remaining services and equipment.
Each developer will be provided with a pedestal, a 28x36-inch promotional sign, Internet access and a 500W electrical drop, as well as a listing and description on the Macworld website. Perks include cheaper hotel rates and airfares, free expo guest passes, and promotional materials developers can use on their own websites. All developers will be able to participate in the Best of Show awards and the First Looks program.
A kit for the Independent Developer Pavilion is priced at $3,995, and should be available for purchase as long as spaces are open.
