  • Cocktail 4.4 (Leopard Edition) ($20) is designed to allow access to some of the more complicated functions within the Unix shell. The latest version adds the ability to reset home directory permissions and access control lists, while providing options to set Time Machine's backup intervals and other settings.   • iPod Access Photo 1.7 ($13) is a tool that can be used to move photos from an iPod or iPhone to a Mac computer. Users can browse through the photos on their handheld and select individual photos or albums to move to the Mac or an external hard drive. Version 1.7 includes improved support for the iPhone 3.0 firmware, iTunes 8.2, and Mac OS X 10.4. [Download - 5.7MB]

  • TorrentDam 2.0 (free) is a tool for searching for torrent files across several torrent search engines. The application can search across seven engines including BTjunkie, IsoHunt, Mininova, Demonoid, TorrentReactor, PirateBay and MyBittorrent. The latest release has added support for the torrentz.com engine, along with an updated help file. [Download - 1.2MB]

  • WeatherOffice 3.9 (free) is a widget that allows the user to view weather reports for major Canadian cities. The widget displays current weather conditions along with a five day forecast retrieved from Weather Canada's website. A new "default location" option has been added which allows users to define the location that is used whenever a new instance of the widget is opened. [Download - 0.43MB]

  • Layers 1.1 ($25) is a tool that can capture and save screenshots of a user's desktop as a separated-later PSD file. The tool captures all of the windows on the desktop including the dock, status bar, and finder icons. A new WebShot feature has been added to version 1.1 which can capture complete web ages from most major Mac browsers including Safari, Firefox, and Opera. The update also allows resulting images to be saved with or without layer groups and includes support for Growl notifications. [Download - 2.2MB]
