Blackmagic Design has released Videohub 4.0, a software update for its Videohub routers that allow users to connect and all editing workstations or decks to be controlled directly from a computer.
MacBU has launched a new promotion for students, with $20 price reductions on Office 2008 Home and Student Editions for Mac. Microsoft Office 2008 includes programs for creating and editing reports, presentations and other documents. The deal runs until September 7th and is available from outlets such as Amazon.com, MacMall or Apple.
TeamViewer has announced that its desktop sharing application now supports six additional languages. The software is used to link any Internet-connected PC or server around the world, with tools allowing users to remotely control other computers. The latest languages include Turkish, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish, and Japanese, bringing the total number of supported languages up to fourteen.
Blackmagic has launched Videohub 4.0, an update to the software interface for the company's Videohub routers that connect workstations and decks. The latest version adds a "button view" control screen designed for simpler use on touchscreen computers. The interface allows users to choose from various icons for the range of connected video equipment, with a fully customizable layout. The update also allows users to select between three new button-view panel windows, or revert to the previous pop-up control windows.
