Samsung GX-30 DSLR specs

A rumor floated on Monday by Photo Rumors has provided detailed but admittedly unofficial specs for the upcoming Samsung GX-30 digital SLR camera. The new camera is said to feature a 15-megapixel CMOS sensor (14.6 effective megapixels) housed in an environmentally-sealed magnesium alloy body. There is a 3-inch AMOLED display that swings out and tilts and has a Live View feature with contrast AF, face detection and tracking AF in addition to a viewfinder.

Unlike other DSLRs, there will apparently be a built-in GPS sensor and dual SDHC memory card slots. Like the new DSLRs from Canon and Nikon, the GX-30 is said to be capable of recording HD video at 720p resolution and 30fps. Users will have control over the exposure, ISO and aperture settings for videos.

Otherwise, it is believed there will be a dual dust removal system, the ability to capture JPEG and DNG raw format images together or separately and 11 autofocus sensors. The GX-30's ISO settings are said to range from 100 to 6400 and there will be two high-speed continuous shooting modes. A 6fps mode will save up to 50 JPEG photos and 16 DNG photos, while the 4fps mode can fill the memory card with JPEGs or store up to 24 continuous DNG images before the memory buffer is overwhelmed.

Connections are said to include USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI and video output. Pricing or a release date have not been mentioned in the rumored spec release.
