Galileo, Eclipse 3.5
Eclipse has announced Galileo, an annual release of open-source applications. The apps are submitted by the Eclipse community, and in 2009 represent 380 committers from 44 different organizations. The collection consists of 33 projects, including Mac Cocoa support, domain-specific language modeling, and updates to Equinox.
The Eclipse Platform 3.5 project is also being released in translations for simplified and traditional Chinese, as well as French, German, Japanese and Korean. Other languages and projects will be released as they become ready. Eclipse utilizes plug-ins to function on top of and simultaneously with a computer's operating system.
The Galileo package and Eclipse 3.5 are both available for free from the Eclipse website.
