BlackArmor line expands

Seagate today introduced three new units to its BlackArmor line of external data storage. The additions involve the BlackArmor NAS 220 Storage Server, the BlackArmor WS110 External Drive Workstation, and the BlackArmor PS 110 Portable Drive. All of the BlackArmor units include a bare metal recovery feature and automated full-system backup. SafetyDrill software, used to restore system data if something were to happen to the original data, is also included.

The BlackArmor NAS 220 Storage Server provides users with centralized network storage and features remote access abilities. The unit can backup data from up to 20 computers utilizing 4TB of storage capacity. The BlackArmor WS 110 External Drive Workstation utilizes a dual interface of eSATA and USB 2.0. The drive is also designed to lie flat or stand vertically. The BlackArmor PS 110 Portable Drive is only 12.5mm thick, making it very portable for users who travel constantly.

The BlackArmor NAS 220 will be available in late July in both a 2TB version and a 4TB version, for $500 and $700, respectively. The BlackArmor WS 110 will also be available in two storage sizes. The 1TB version costs $160 while the 2TB version costs $310. The BlackArmor PS 110 comes in a 500GB version and costs $160. Each unit is available from the Seagate website.
