Safari Bluetooth updates
Following the iPhone 3.0 firmware release, Apple on Wednesday also updated Safari and Bluetooth firmware for Mac systems. The Safari update is designed to correct compatibility issues between Safari 4.0 and a number of features in iPhoto '09, such as Places and publishing to Facebook.
The Bluetooth firmware update includes a number of bug fixes and improved compatibility with the company's wireless Mighty Mouse and keyboard. The download is recommended for any Mac systems with integrated Bluetooth on the Broadcom chipset.
Both downloads are available through Software Update and require system restart. The Bluetooth firmware fills a 1.6MB file, while the Safari download weighs-in at 43.8MB.

I installed this update, rebooted and have now been waiting 10 minutes to make it past the login screen. As soon as I enter my username and password I get the beachball...
Am waiting to see if it passes with time.

Yep, it passed with time -- needed about 15 minutes though, which feels like an age on a laptop with enough RAM and processing power to generally run a lot faster.

Despite the warning in the bluetooth updater, the update took almost no time at all on my MacBook Pro Unibody (late 2008).
