The Idiot Test, Taptu

  • Air Sharing Pro ($10) allows users to access, view, e-mail, print, store and manage documents on an iPhone or iPod touch. Users can wirelessly connect their handheld devices to a computer as an external drive and use drag and drop to transfer documents. The software is also able to open common files including Microsoft Office and iWork documents. Furthermore, Air Sharing Pro features support for ZIP files allowing users to archive multiple files and email them as one attachment.

  • DukeMobile (free) provides users access to information related to Duke University. The application includes campus maps, directories, news, and more. The directory includes contact information for faculty, staff, and students, while the events application keeps users up-to-date on events that are happening around campus. DukeMobile also features an image application which allows users to search across thousands of images from the Duke Digital Libraries collection.

  • KCRW Radio ($1) can be used to stream all three KCRW channels, On Air, Music, and News, on an iPhone or iPod touch. The streams include real-time track lists for each show and also includes links to the iTunes store for music tracks. The events feature in the application includes information on music, news, and art events that are happening around Santa Monica where the station is located.

  • The Idiot Test 3 ($1) is based on the popular flash game series of the same name. The game includes nearly 100 small brain teasing tasks to complete. As players progress through the test they can hit checkpoints where they will receive a password for jumping back to the same point. The game tracks time and allows users to post their best scores to a Facebook account.

  • Taptu (free) allows users to perform internet searches across sites that have been optimized for the iPhone. The application includes more than 100,000 iPhone friendly sites that cover different categories such as sports, celebrities, and technology. Favorite sites can be saved for later access or shared with friends from directly within the application.
