Artlandia updates SymmetryWorks plug-ins

SymmetryWorks update ships

Artlandia has released the newest version of SymmetryWorks, a plug-in used to design congruent patterns of shapes in Adobe Illustrator. There are two versions of the plug-in, SymmetryWorks 5 and SymmetryWorks LP. The latter is a hybrid plug-in, combining SymmetryWorks 5 and Artlandia's LivePresets.

SymmetryWorks 5 includes a new insertion mode, which allows users to draw directly into a pattern using a variety of Illustrator tools. The update also supports objects and pattern classes not previously compatible, and provides a better export function for finished designs. SymmetryWorks LP includes all of the features of SymmetryWorks 5, but additionally lets users edit Illustrator pattern swatches and simultaneously repaint any objects using a swatch.

Both plug-ins require Illustrator 10, with CS2 or later being recommended. The titles are available from the Artlandia website for $249 and $364, respectively. Registered owners of previous versions can upgrade to SymmetryWorks 5 for $75, and the new LP for $190.
