DataViz Documents To Go
DataViz has released several mobile Office apps for the iPhone and iPod touch, Documents To Go and Documents To Go With Exchange Attachments. The programs allows users to view, create or edit Microsoft Word files, including Word 2007, and then sync the content with a desktop application. Apple's integrated viewing technology enables access to Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and Apple iWork content.
The app features a variety of viewing and editing capabilities including touch navigation, cut-and-paste, text selection, predictive text, bold, italics or underline. Users can view word counts and add bulleted or numbered lists, embedded images and tables, with the option to protect files with a password. The company's InTact technology is claimed to retain all of the original formatting once the file has been edited and forwarded.
The sync function works with the complementary desktop application to transfer files between the mobile device and computer via Wi-Fi. Users can add entire folders or select single files within a folder.
A separate version of the app allows Microsoft Exchange users to send, receive or edit e-mail attachments from the app interface. The edited content can immediately be sent back as replies, which can also included Excel, PowerPoint or PDF documents.
Documents To Go and Documents To Go with Exchange Attachments are now available from the app store for $5 and $10, respectively.
