  • Love Art: National Gallery, London (free) enables people to view some of the pieces from the National Gallery on an iPhone or iPod touch. The application features 250 paintings from the gallery along with close to 200 minutes of audio and video content. This includes interviews with the National Gallery Director Dr. Nicholas Penny, artist Maggie Hambling, and Girl with a Pearl Earring author Tracy Chevalier. Paintings have been organized into categories allowing users to browse by popular themes or types such as portraits, cityscapes and religious paintings.

  • iShoes (free) provides users access to a growing database of shoe models currently available in online and retail stores around the world. The application includes features for purchasing shoes and also allows users to mark favorite items for quick access later. A recent update has also added the ability to share favorite items with friends on Facebook.

  • Knights Onrush ($5) is a game where players must keep invaders from breaching their castle's walls. As attackers move towards the castle players can attack them in various ways such as flicking them into the air, freezing them, throwing fireballs at them, and more. The game features a campaign with 12 different castles to defend and 11 different enemy types such as wizards, assassins, and catapults. The game also features an Endless Siege mode and Madness mode.

  • Acoustic Guitar ($1) simulates playing an acoustic guitar and features over 970 different chords. Users can create sets of chords which are displayed across the top of the screen and choose to apply a capo to different areas of the freeboard. The application also takes advantage of the accelerometer and adjusts the interface depending on the orientation of the handheld.

  • CliffsNotes To Go: Romeo & Juliet ($1) includes character, theme and plot summaries, interactive quiz features, and audio CramCasts. Users can access all of the content at their own pace and work through different topics and chapters of the book. When they feel comfortable with the material users can choose to take multiple choice quizzes to test their comprehension. The Cram Plan organizes all of the most important points into a guide that can be used when time is limited.
