Samsung specs out WB1000

First spotted back in February, albeit under a different name, Samsung on Thursday officially released its range-leading 12.2-megapixel digital camera, the WB1000. Its unique cosmetic feature is its analog gauge cluster, which show the approximate battery life status and amount of memory left on its storage cards. The 3.0-inch, 480x360 OLED display is another uncommon feature. Another notable is the WB1000's ability to shoot at up to 3200 ISO setting in low-light conditions, although at just 3.2 megapixels.

Otherwise, the WB1000 can capture HD video at 720p resolution, while an optical stabilizer will reduce shake and vibrations. The Schneider-Kreuznach lens has a range that is the equivalent of 24-120mm with 35mm film.

The 76MB of internal memory can be expanded with the use of MMC Plus and SDHC memory cards. Due for a release on June 18th, with pricing set at $380.

    Well, I never!

I can't believe Samsung is off dating one of it's digital cameras. What's next? Liberals pushing for human-electronics marriages? (Well, actually, I can think of a lot of Mac and iPhone/iPod users who would be jumping on board...)
